World Athletics lastly ratifies Tobi Amusan’s hurdles document

The World Athletics has ratified the ladies’s world 100m hurdles document set by Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan on the 2022 World Championships in Oregon.

The governing physique on Tuesday confirmed this alongside the world data of two different athletes – Mondo Duplantis and Sydney McLaughin.

”The world data set by Tobi Amusan, Mondo Duplantis and Sydney McLaughlin on the World Athletics Championships Oregon 22 have been ratified,” the assertion reads

“Amusan’s 12.12 within the girls’s 100m hurdles semi finals, Duplantis’s 6.21m within the males’s pole vault remaining and McLaughlin’s 50.68 within the girls’s 400m hurdles remaining are all now formally within the document books, as is the world U20 mark of 9.94 set by Letsile Tebogo within the males’s 100m heats.”

The 25-year-old Nigerian sprinter surprised the athletics world with a document time of 12.12 seconds within the semi-finals on the occasion, breaking the six-year-old document held by USA’s Kendra Harrison.

She turned the primary Nigerian world champion on the World Athletics Championships with a gold medal within the 100m hurdles.

Amusan can be the present African, commonwealth, and world champion within the 100m hurdles, and holds the race document within the three competitions.
