The United Arab Emirates has hosted the primary UAE-Nigeria Joint Committee assembly on the Ministry of International Affairs and Worldwide Cooperation in Abu Dhabi.
The assembly was co-chaired by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Ambassador Zubairu Dada, Honorable Minister of State for International Affairs in Nigeria.
Various senior officers from the Authorities of Nigeria participated within the assembly, and the Emirati delegation included senior officers representing numerous federal and native authorities entities, semi-governmental organisations, and personal corporations.
Throughout the assembly, the 2 sides mentioned political and financial cooperation, highlighting the significance of building new channels of bilateral cooperation.
Additionally they mentioned alternatives for cooperation within the areas of commerce and economic system, SMEs, entrepreneurship, clear vitality, know-how, schooling, protection and safety, finance and banking, customs, tradition, youth and sports activities, and aviation.
Sheikh Shakhboot recommended the effectiveness of the Joint Committee in enhancing cooperation between the Emirati and Nigerian personal and public sectors and inspired individuals to proceed leveraging this platform.
For his half, Zubairu Dada highlighted Nigeria’s curiosity in additional strengthening the bilateral relationship and rising cooperation between each nations.
The assembly ended with either side signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), together with an MoU for cooperation within the subject of tradition and youth and an MoU for cooperation within the subject of sport.
