Police verify abduction of one other ex-Anambra lawmaker

The Anambra State Police command, Wednesday, confirmed abduction of former lawmaker representing Ogbaru Constituency 1 within the State Home of Meeting, Hon. Benson Nwawulu.

This got here two months after the kidnapping and killing of a former lawmaker, Hon. Nelson Achukwu, who represented Nnewi South, and three months after identical destiny befelled Hon. The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the kidnapping, mentioned the command was engaged on releasing him.

“He will probably be rescued quickly, as a result of we’re on their path, and efforts are on prime gear, and shortly he will probably be rescued,” he said.

Sources informed Blueprint that one of many lawmaker’s son has reached out to some present members of the state meeting who had been Nwawulu’s colleagues for funds to satisfy up with the ransom demanded by the abductors.
