Police smash syndicate for killing Bauchi lawmaker, ex-cop, nab 21

The Nigeria Police have smashed a kidnapping and theft syndicate working inside Bauchi state and its environs, simply as 4 members of the gang had been arrested.

Drive Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, discloaed this whereas parading the suspects, Wednesday on the workplace of the Intelligence Response Group (FIB-IRT), Abuja.

He stated, “The Drive Intelligence Bureau Intelligence Response Group (FIB-IRT) have efficiently dropped at an in depth case of homicide which appeared unsolved with the arrest of some infamous suspects concerned in felony conspiracy, culpable murder, and kidnapping in June 2022.”

He named the suspects to incorporate: “Hashimu Galadima aka Kan-Wuka, 48, Abdulwahab Alhassan aka Emeka, 31, Abdulwahab Ahmed aka Dan-Mama, 35, and Alh. Modu Saleh, all of Dass Native Authorities Space of Bauchi state, had been arrested following credible intelligence.

“The suspects, in accordance with investigations, are members of a syndicate actively concerned in kidnapping and theft operations inside Bauchi state and its environs.

“They confessed to the homicide of 1 Hon. Musa Mante, a then serving member of the Bauchi State Home of Meeting from Dass LGA in August 2020, and the kidnap of his two wives and 1-year previous daughter.”

The spokesperson additional acknowledged that the suspects confessed to the homicide of 1 Mallam Dahiru Suleiman, and a retired Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Garkuwa, who they claimed was a bane to their free operation within the space.

“Equally, 11 suspects who confessed to being members of an illegal society, particularly the Black Axe Confraternity (aka Aiye) had been arrested in Ekpoma, Edo state, following reviews on their nefarious actions inside the space.

‘The suspects Okosun Pascal, 22, Michael Ehineboh, 24, Aneto Israel, 22, Future Uhomogiwan, 23, Bello Sunday, 20, Eramoh Akhere 27, Osagie Adamson, 22, Okoruwa Christian, Edoghogho Wellington, 24, (all 9 from Esan LGA of Edo State), 20 years previous Momoh Kingsley from Estako West LGA of Edo state, and previous Chukwu Chukwuemeka 24, from Nkanu West LGA of Enugu state, are all college undergraduates. “Reveals recovered from the suspects are 2 AK 47 Rifles, 3 pump motion weapons, 1 domestically made pistol, 2 AK47 Magazines, 22 stay rounds of seven.62mm ammunition, 17 rounds of 5.56mm K2 Ammunition, and three stay cartridges.

Operatives of the FIB-IRT equally apprehended the trio of Murtala Ibrahim aged 37, Suleiman Rabiu aged 28, and Surajo Sani (aka Mandula) aged 39, for kidnapping and offering data to different infamous kidnap gangs on doubtless victims of their crime.

He stated the suspects who function inside Yankwani and Kurami Cities in Bakori LGA of Katsina state carried out the kidnap of a person, his spouse and two kids from whom they obtained a ransom of N30 million.

Equally, “An escapee from the Kuje Correctional Centre in June 2022, one Abdulrazak Isah, 27, from Ondo state, who was convicted to life imprisonment for the homicide in 2013 and had spent 10 years previous to his escape from the detention facility, was arrested at Tafa LGA of Kaduna state for stealing an iPad and a pc monitor from a lodge in Sabon Wuse, Niger State. 

“The suspect thereafter offered the monitor for the sum of N5,000 and the iPad for the sum of N10,000, earlier than his arrest.”

Talking additional he stated, “The FIB-IRT recovered a complete of 27 firearms together with 10 AK rifles, one  G3 rifle, eight pump motion weapons, three domestically made pistols, three English double-barrelled weapons, 633 rounds of stay ammunition of various calibres, eight expended cartridges, and one cutlass from the suspects in the midst of investigations.”

The spokesperson added that each one the suspects can be arraigned in courtroom on completion of investigations.
