Police rescue 3 kidnap victims, get better car, motorbike, weapons 

Operatives of Kaduna state Police command have rescued three kidnap victims – two ladies alongside Zaria-Kano highway and a person alongside Ikara-Tashan Yari highway, recovering a motorcar, motorbike, rifle and journal. 

Kaduna state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammed Jalige, who made this recognized on Sunday stated the victims’ rescue was a part of renewed police effort to deal with felony actions within the state.

“These achieved feats had been in opposition to the backdrop of a criticism acquired on the 4th September, 2022 that one Yusuf Abdullahi Abubakar ‘M’ of Dorayi village in Kano state has been kidnapped on identical date at Barde village in Ikara LGA of Kaduna state and the abductors had been demanding for the sum of N50 million ransom.

“The Operatives promptly caught up with the motorcyclists after a high-speed chase and two of the riders on sensing Police pursuit jumped off the motorbike and fled into the bush. The Operatives upon search of the motorbike recovered a hid AK47 rifle loaded with 10 rounds of stay 7.62 X 39mm ammunition. The id of the rescued man was later  found to be the Yusuf Abdullahi Abubakar ‘m’ of Dorayi whose report of kidnap was earlier acquired by the Division. 

“The sufferer and the reveals had been moved to the Police station for additional investigation whereas the fleeing culprits are being trailed  for arrest. The sufferer has been medically evaluated and reunited along with his household,” DSP Jalige stated. 

In the meantime, the police command rescued two feminine kidnap victims and recovered a Ford car and a rifle journal loaded with 30 rounds of stay ammunition.

“On the ninth September, 2022 at 0245hrs Operatives of the Command hooked up to Hunkuyi Division whereas on aggressive patrol alongside Zaria-Kano expressway, intercepted a suspicious Ford Mini Bus with Reg No. ZAR 532 XR and the occupants moderately than heed the police order to halt for search,  engaged the operatives in a gun duel. 

“The operatives responded gallantly  and within the ensuing melee, the hoodlums fled with various bullet wounds abandoning two feminine occupants of the stated car who had been rescued. Upon search of the car an AK-47 journal loaded with 30 rounds of stay 7.62 × 39mm ammunition had been recovered. Preliminary investigation revealed that the 2 feminine occupants, recognized as Hafiza Haruna and Amina Haruna are the wives of 1 Alhaji Haruna of Kwanan Dangora, Kano state who had been earlier kidnapped by the hoodlums.
