Nimrod emerges North-west Break Dance Sports activities Federation chairman

President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engr. Musa Nimrod, on Thursday added one other duty, as he was inaugurated Chairman of Nigeria Break Dance Sports activities Federation (NBDSF) North-west Zone.

The brand new process ensures that he leads others within the zone in pushing for the grassroots growth of the NBDSF, which has been described as a possible for maintaining youth positively engaged away from medicine and vices. 

Talking at a press convention on the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Thursday, Engr. Nimrod thanked God, saying that the Federation has come on the proper time, in view of the truth that it’s an Olympic sport. 

“This digital age, there’s the necessity to get the youth geared up. It’s a need for any sports activities individual to go to Olympics and afterwards, be addressed an an Olympian. 

“Whether or not you win a medal or not, you’re tagged an Olympian, the honour and the popularity might be given to you. Even for those who die, you’ll preserve being an Olympian. It’s a welcome growth and we’ll proceed to assist this. Break Dance will actually assist in ridding society of medicine and different vices,” he mentioned.

He tasked the chief coach to create competitions in communities to find budding abilities. 

“I need to warn the politicians to not use the Break Dance Federation as a political platform. Anyone coming to make use of the Federation, the sponsorship must be sustainable. If anybody needs to sponsor competitors in break dance, it must be sustainable as such, they need to sponsor for years, not simply throughout the electioneering interval,” he mentioned.
