
The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Security Company (NIMASA) at present launched the digital registration platform for maritime labour and issuance of Biometric Id Playing cards to Dockworkers. The Company’s Director Common Dr Bashir Jamoh described the e-platform as a serious step in direction of attaining full automation of all its processes including that it was conceived out of the necessity to set up an unbiased, sturdy, built-in data, verification and communication platform that will function a system database technology on maritime labour in Nigeria.
