
The previous Deputy Vice Chancellor of the College of Ibadan, Prof. Adigun Agbaje, kidnapped on Friday October 28, 2022 regained his freedom from his abductors.
He was launched on Sunday October 30.
In accordance with Oyo state Police Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Adewale Osifeso, Prof. Agbaje is presently “present process debrief and as effectively medical intervention in the intervening time.”
It was learnt that two different college students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, recognized as Olayemi Adejare and Oluwatobi Orekoya kidnapped alongside the previous DVC had been additionally launched by the abductors.
The abductors had been reported to have demanded N50 million for the discharge of Prof Agbaje, whereas N10 million every was demanded for the discharge of the 2 college students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta.
It was alleged that N2.2 million was reportedly paid to safe the discharge of the 2 college students in addition to an undisclosed amount of cash for the discharge of the previous DVC.
