Two suspected kidnappers have died from bullet wounds sùffered throughout a gun duel with operatiives of the Kwara state police comand in a bush, the state’s police command stated Wednesday.
The suspected kidnappers based on a press release by the state’s police Public Relations Officer Okasanmi Ajayi, Wednesday, had been bursted in a bush whereas sharing the ransome they collected from thier victims’ household.
Ajayi stated the abductors had on September 13, 2022 kidnapped one Mrs Adusat Lawal and her Son Taofeek Lawal in Shao and whisked them away following which the command’s tactical crew launched a manhurt for them.
On sighting the police operatives, he stated the suspected kidnappers opened fireplace on the search and recue crew which had been supported by vigilantes and native hunters, resulting in intese gun duel.
The police spokesperson stated in the course of the encounter, two of the kidappers hit by bullet had been arrested and brought to College of Ilorin educating hospital (UITH) the place they had been confirmed useless.
