
Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a bandit concerned in housebreaking and stealing.
In an announcement issued Tuesday by the Command’s spokesman, CSP Abattam, he mentioned, “On 26/10/2022 at about 0900 hours, a report of housebreaking and stealing was acquired by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) incharge of Oguta Police Station and his investigation staff instantly swung into motion to establish and arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
“After diligent gathering of credible intelligence, on 27/10/2022 at about 1200 hours, One Nnura Henry Afam ‘m’ aged 34 years outdated, a local of Umuayata village in Oguta Native Authorities Space of Imo State was arrested. In the middle of interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming that it was his boss, Ebuka surname unknown alias “Small Witch” that instructed him to interrupt into the complainant’s home at night time time and steal the properties and to take all of the stolen objects to his (Ebuka’s) home.
“He additional revealed that they belong to an armed theft gang and Ebuka alias “Small Witch” is the top of the gang, that has been terrorising communities in Oguta Native Authorities Space and its environs. He then led the investigating staff to the home of Ebuka alias “Small Witch” the place the stolen objects had been stored.”
CSP Abattam additional disclosed that the suspect, on sighting the police from a distance arriving his residence, instantly locked his door from the within and escaped by means of the rear door into the bush.

Blueprint gathered that efforts had been on high gear to arrest the fleeing suspect and different members of his gang.
