
The Worldwide Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Nigeria has referred to as for collaboration with Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) to help commerce facilitation in Africa.
Chairman, ICC International Customs & Commerce Fee, Mr. Segun Olugboyegun made the decision when he led a delegation on a courtesy go to to the NSC’s Headquarters in Lagos.
Olugboyegun stated ICC wishes a robust partnership with Shippers’ Council affirming that it has been selling commerce facilitation within the maritime sector.
In her presentation on ‘ICC International Customs and Commerce Facilitation Fee’, Govt Secretary, ICC Nigeria, Mrs. Olubunmi Osuntuyi disclosed that the ICC is championing the adoption of digitalized Customs’ processes whereas emphasizing on the necessity for trade engagement on rising coverage points inside the World Customs Organisation (WCO) in areas reminiscent of round financial system and knowledge transfers in regional commerce.
Based on her, ICC requires NSC’s involvement of their capability constructing programmes, including that NSC had participated in a few of their programmes up to now.
Additionally talking, a member of the delegation, Mr. Olu Vincent counseled Nigerian Shippers’ Council for the pivotal position it has performed on commerce facilitation within the maritime sector.
