Orhionmwon Native Authorities Space of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Aigbogun, has reportedly escaped from his kidnappers’ den.
A relative of the politician advised Blueprint that he (Aigbogun) returned dwelling late Tuesday night time, including that “he’s now reuniting along with his household”.
The relative quoted the APC Chairman as saying, “I sneaked away when my abductors went out on a mission, apparently to kidnap different victims, whereas few others guarding their camp have been busy discussing”.
Aigbogun, 55, was reportedly kidnapped by gunmen on Monday whereas coming back from his farm at Ologbo-nugu group.
His abductors have been mentioned to have demanded N5 million ransom.
Spokesman for Edo State police command, Chidi Nwabuzor had confirmed the incident, and added that police operatives have been deployed to the bush to “rescue the sufferer unharmed and probably arrest the abductors”.
Nevertheless, the spokesman was but to be reached for touch upon the reported escape of the sufferer from his abductors’ den as on the time of submitting this report.
