Birmingham 2022: You’ve made us proud, Akeredolu hails Adekuoroye

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has lauded the spectacular achievement of Odunayo Adekuoroye on the 2022 Commonwealth Video games.

Recall that the Ondo State-born Olympian, received the gold medal within the ladies’s 57kg freestyle wrestling on Friday after defeating Indian competitor, Anshu Malik.

Reacting to the feat, Akeredolu in a press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, praised Adekuoroye for making the state proud.

“Our personal Odunayo Adekuoroye has recorded one other feat for the nation. We’re notably proud that she displayed braveness and resilience to clinch her win even within the face of intense strain.

“We’re, certainly, thrilled that an Ondo State indigene has introduced pleasure to the black race, the Nation and the Sunshine State particularly. Her victory is a collective pleasure for the nation,” he mentioned.
