2023: Kukah, Danbazzau, Jega, others to obtain Peace & Democracy award  


The Society for Peace Research and Follow (SPSP) in collaboration with the Nigerian Military Useful resource Centre, (NARC) Abuja is to carry its sixteenth Worldwide convention and Annual Common Assembly in Abuja from Wednesday November 30 to Dec. 1.

In line with the organisers of the programme, Particular Icons Peace and Democracy awards could be bestowed “on Bishop Matthew Kukah, Prof. Uba Adamu, Dr Abdul-Rahman Danbazzau and Prof. Attahiru Jega in addition to distinguished fellowship awards on seven Nigerians together with the DG of NARC who was a former GOC of One Division.”

An announcement by the Chairman,  Native Organising Committee, Prof. Tajudeen Akanji, mentioned the two-day convention would maintain at Nigerian Military Useful resource Centre, Abuja.

In line with him, the theme of the convention is “Elections,  Democratic Consolidation and Good Governance in Africa”, amidst 18 different sub-themes slated for the convention. 

Akanji mentioned {that a} one-time Chief of Military Employees and former Minister of Inside, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Rahman Danbazzau would be the Visitor Speaker on the convention with Prof. Attahiru Jega, former INEC Chairman because the Chairman of the event.

The LOC chairman added that Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, SPSP Chairman of B.O.T would be the Chief Host whereas Main Common Garuba Wahab, the Director-Common of NARC is the Co-host whereas Dr Nathaniel Danjibo, SPSP President, will likely be making his valedictory speech.

Along with the scientific,  practitioner and scholar panels, Akanji mentioned the convention could have TETFUND centre of Excellence,  College of Ibadan panel on “Early Warning System” and IPSS/Senator Abiola Ajimobi Basis panel on Election Safety in Nigeria”.
